Because Hibernation is Fun?

Honestly, I thought I'd hate cold, too. I thought I spent too long in the desert, and had lost that part of my genetics.

Then, I visited finland, and I realized that cold is just like heat. When it's incredibly hot, you get forced to hide in your cave until it passes. While, of course, both are extremes on opposite ends, the reaction is the same: go hide in your cave. Well, I actually like hiding in my cave.

Yeah, you're right, I actually like the hibernation. I listen to music, read a lot of books and spend the entire winter planning gardens that I never get around to planting. But this cold spell caught me off guard! It was 55 degrees yesterday afternoon and then the temp dropped 50 degrees by this morning. I seem to pick places to live that have extremes - Phoenix heat, Seattle rain, and now Iowa winters. I suppose if made to choose, I'd still choose Iowa. But it's still damn cold!!
